Having suffered from breast, uterus, and thyroid cancer for over 10 years, Thu Le used her mind, body, and soul to give her the boost she needed to win her battle. After discovering the success of her methods, Thu Le set out to study and research various dietary and spiritual treatments to help cancer sufferers feel nourished and energised. Thu Le has an outstanding array of 26 diplomas, degrees, and certificates obtained in Australia, Netherlands, UK, USA and Vietnam, which have led her to the foundation of the Hearty Center – a 24/7 safe haven for cancer sufferers located in Blue Mountains – a region that offers a unique relaxing and nurturing environment for the mind, body, and spirit.

Omi Doan

Throughout his life, Omi Doan has witnessed numerous relatives and peers endure the hardships of cancer and this motivated him to pursue a career in medicine. Determined to become a medical practitioner, Omi achieved a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Pre-Medicine). He is keen to learn various ways of providing support to people in need of help, which he demonstrates during his volunteering experiences.

His passion fuels his ambition to create a bridge between natural medicine and western medicine. This allows him to present numerous treatment methods to cancer patients that are suitable and safe for them. Omi’s aim at Hearty Center is to effectively communicate with cancer patients and build a strong connection with them so that they feel understood and appreciated during their treatment.

Growing up, Jenny Nguyen was inspired to become a health professional after watching her grandpa suffer from cancer. Her journey started with her fascination in studying science, particularly human anatomy, and medicine. With her ambition, she obtained a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Pre-Medicine).

However, she felt that she can do more than just medical research as she wants to actively contribute and seek ways to help people with cancer overcome their long-term battle while living a happier and healthier life. Jenny joined Hearty Centre with a strong belief that she can utilise her skills gained from scientific studies to further benefit the quality of life in cancer patients, which also aims to empower them to seek for a healthier and nurturing environment.

Dr Niikee Schoendorfer

Accredited naturopath and energy medicine

Dr Niikee Schoendorfer commenced tertiary study in 1994 at the Australian College of Natural Medicine, majoring in holistic nutrition and natural health.  In 1999 she completed a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine Philosophy and Herbalism, while concurrently completing a Bachelor Degree in Complementary Medicine.  Niikee then went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Nutritional Medicine in 2005.  In 2006 she enrolled into a PhD Doctorate at the University of Queensland, School of Medicine and completed studies in Nutritional Biochemistry and Clinical Medicine.  During this tenure Niikee also completed a Graduate Diploma in Educational Curriculum Design and another in Research Commercialisation.

Today, Dr Niikee combines her different modalities, into an eclectic mix to assist with bringing you back into balance so you are free to enjoy life to the fullest.

During her sessions, you will explore traditions from the East and West, various practices and intuitive processes to address underlying issues, as well as any empirical and scientific evidence available to get you on your path to optimal wellness.

I am a qualified naturopath having completed Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy). 

Naturopathy treatment supports your health from many angles by looking at the whole person, not just the symptoms. Naturopathy treatment can support you with herbal remedies, supplements and dietary and lifestyle advice in a way that is personal to you. 

I am passionate about improving patient’s quality of life by providing an alternative approach to support my clients to address a wide range of physical and emotional elements.

In addition to naturopathy, I am also practicing Reiki healing. This will allow my approach to include both natural therapy and mindfulness aspects in supporting your overall wellbeing. 

I’m originally from Japan and have been a Blue Mountains local living with my husband and a daughter. The stunning local environment inspired me to pursue a career in natural therapies.

Stephanie Sandor

Accredited Nutritionist

I am a degree qualified Clinical Nutritionist with a Bachelor Of Health Science in Nutrition, a Bachelor of Commerce and a Certificate III in personal training. I am a wife, a mum and love to cook, horse ride and relax with friends. I follow and recommend a predominantly plant based diet. There are many clinical studies now identifying the benefits of eating this way for both treating and preventing many of the most common diseases affecting society today.  I am passionate about helping others achieve their potential through optimising their diet and lifestyle.  My advise is tailored to the specific needs of each individual client and I work with my patients to create a plan that is both appropriate and achievable to attain their health goals.
